I’ve cultivated two decades of filmmaking, screenwriting, video editing, and broadcast television into my role as Scripty Screenwriter. With this extensive media production background, I craft accurate progress reports, facing pages, editor logs, and lined pages. As an Apple Certified Professional in Final Cut Pro and a seasoned editor, I keenly observe the on-screen action, ensuring seamless continuity in actor movement, hair, makeup, and costumes. Moreover, I excel in creating comprehensive script breakdowns and shot lists, ensuring complete coverage .

Writer, Director, Producer

As an independent filmmaker, writer/director/producer of the feature film Saucy Flyer UFO PI, I was responsible for all pre-production, production, and post-production aspects. This experience has given me a deep understanding of filmmaking, which is invaluable as a Script Supervisor. I am incredibly proud of our film’s success at the Starz Denver Film Festival and Santa Fe Independent Festival. Saucy Flyer UFO PI premiered 29th Denver Film Festival” with Saturday Midnight Screening and was the first film with a sell-out audience. I constructed the Saucy Flyer UFO PI website with a colleague:

Adapting Books into Screenplays

Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting: With a passion for merging creativity and training, I specialize in adapting books into compelling screenplays. The transformation of literary works into cinematic narratives is not just a skill set for me; it’s a source of joy. My screenwriting developed through the invaluable guidance of esteemed mentors and UCLA Faculty – Linda Vorhees and Lew Hunter.

Source Material: The first step in adapting a book into a screenplay is reading and re-reading the source material. By delving into the nuances of the characters, themes, and the world created by the author, I gain an understanding that serves as the foundation for my screenplay.

Classic Structure: One of the critical lessons learned from Lew Hunter and Linda Vorhees is the art of structural alchemy. Films require cinematic structure, pacing, and rhythm. While books can afford lengthy explorations of characters’ internal thoughts, films demand concise and visual storytelling. Through a detailed process of identifying key plot points, character arcs, and thematic elements, I weave a narrative that captures the source material while adhering to the constraints of the visual medium.
